The U.S. U-17 girls national team continues its preparations for the U-17 Women’s World Cup in Jordan that kicks off in September with a May 23-June 3 training camp in Northern Italy that will includetwo games across the border against Switzerland’s U-19 national team, which is preparing for the U-19 European Championship.
U.S. coach B.J. Snow has called up 22 players,including 18 who were on the squad that in mid-March won the Concacaf U-17 Championship.
The players on the roster include 12 born in 1999, the age-cutoff for participation in thisfall’s World Cup, seven 2000s, and three 2001s, all of whom were on the qualifying squad: defenders Kennedy Wesley and Kate Wiesner and forward JordanCanniff.
