Thanks to its 2-0 win against South Korea earlier this month, the U.S. men’s national team jumped one spot to No. 13 in FIFA’s World Rankings for February. Ghana, the USA’s firstopponent in this summer’s World Cup in Brazil, fell 13 spots to No. 37, while Portugal, its second opponent, climbed one place to No. 4. Germany, the final Group G opponent for JurgenKlinsmann’s men, remained unchanged at No. 2.

Roy Hodgson’s England, meanwhile, has fallen all the way to No. 15 from a No. 4 ranking one year ago.Elsewhere, Spain remained No. 1, Argentina remained No. 3, and Brazil climbed another spot to No. 9. Spain has now led the FIFA World Rankings in every month except one (August 2011) since winning theWorld Cup in South Africa in 2010.
