The U.S. women’s national team has made history again as American sports pub Sports Illustrated made a separate cover for each member of Jill Ellis’ 23-player squad forits July 20 issue. The unprecedented move comes after the USA defeated Japan in the 2015 Women’s World Cup final, 5-2. It also follows a memorable week for the U.S. women after they were honoredwith a ticker tape parade in New York City’s Canyon of Heroes, and then later welcomed on stage by pop star Taylor Swift during her 1989 World Tour show at the New Meadowlands on Saturdaynight.
