• The USL has granted a franchise to a group in the Texoma region of Texas (Sherman and Denison) to launch a team in the USL League One. Plans are for a launch in 2025. The group has plans for a youth academy to open in 2024 and for Bearcat Stadium (a Sherman high school stadium opened in 1940 as a WPA project) to serve as the temporary site for the team to play at. Its founders are Simon Keizer and Ben Watson.
