The German Bundesliga discovered yet another drawback to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) this past weekend. Even when a referee has made a clear and obvious error in dismissing a player from the field, and immediately knows it, the decision can not be revoked if it was for a second yellow card, rather than a straight red.
