Mexico reached the U-17 World Cup final with a PK shootout win over the Dutch after a 1-1 tie in the semifinal. Californian LA Galaxy product Efrain Alvarez entered in 73rdminute and scored with a brilliant long-distance free kick in the 79th minute. In the shootout, Alvarez went first and his panenka failed badly, but EL Tri recovered for a 4-3 win from the spot. OnSunday, Mexico faces the Brazil-France winner.
