Deyverson scored the winner in the fifth-minute of overtime. With 18 minutes left in regulation time, Flamengo’s Gabriel Barbosa equalized Raphael Veiga fifth-minute strike. Palmeiras also lifted South America’s most prestigious trophy in 1999.
