Feyenoord’s Justin Bijlow took gamesmanship to another low when the goalkeeper threw a spare ball onto the field to prevent a Twente scoring chance. With his team leading, 1-0, in the first half, Bijlow foolishly left his penalty area for a slide tackle on Twente’s Virgil Misidjan near the sideline that sent the ball out of bounds. Misidjan was about to make the best of the situation with a quick throw-in for Twente to attack the empty goal, but Bijlow stopped play by heaving a spare ball onto the field to force a stoppage. After Misidjan reacted by throwing his ball at the keeper, Bijlow escaped with a yellow card. But Twente did get its equalizer, in the 68th minute, for a 1-1 tie.
