Roberto Firmino scored Liverpool’s overtime winner over Flamengo to claim its first Club World Cup. The 1-0 final win in Doha, Qatar, came after Liverpool beat Mexico’sMonterrey, 2-1, in the semifinals. Monterrey finished third with a PK tiebreaker win over Saudi club Al Hilal after the game finished, 2-2. Californian Jonathan Gonzalez played theentire game for Monterrey, as former Toronto FC star Sebastian Giovinco did for Al Hilal. Both converted from the spot in the shootout that Monterrey won 4-3.
