Pedro Goncalves‘ shot from near the center circle beat Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale  to equalize for Sporting in the Europa League round of 16 clash. Still 1-1 after overtime, thus 3-3 on aggregate, Sporting won the spot-kick tiebreaker and advanced to the quarterfinals.
