When he was 15 years old, Southern Californian Luca De La Torre made the choice to go pro in Europe instead of college ball. He was at Fulham for seven years before moving to Heracles in the Netherlands’ Eredivisie. He signed for La Liga side Celta de Vigo in the summer and has made a few substitute appearances for the Galician side.
“I bet on myself and my own performances,” said the midfielder, who earned 10 of his 12 U.S. caps in 2022.
