USA striker Bobby Wood on Monday joined Union Berlin from German second division rival 1860 Munich, agreeing to a deal through 2018, Union said on its We site. Born in Hawaii, the22-year-old, who scored the winning goals against the Netherlands and Germany for the U.S. men in recent friendlies, moved to California to play youth football with the Irvine Strikers, then relocatedto Germany in 2007 to join 1860 Munich.
