Coach Mauricio Pochettino‘s 23-man roster for the Concacaf Nations League final four includes three 2022 World Cup players who had not yet been part of a camp run by the Argentine: Tyler Adams, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Gio Reyna.
Adams, the USA’s captain in Qatar, underwent back surgery after the 2024 Copa America and didn’t return to action until October. Carter-Vickers was nursing a toe injury when the USMNT convened last October and November. Reyna was sidelined with a groin injury.
- Concacaf Nations League (SoFi Stadium): Players will begin reporting to camp in Southern California on March 16. The March 20 semifinals are USA-Panama and Mexico-Canada. The final and third-place games are on March 23.
Reyna starred for the USA as it won each of the Concacaf Nations League’s previous editions, in 2021, 2023 and 2024. Last year, he won final four MVP honors after assisting twice in the semifinal and scoring in the 2-0 final win over Mexico. He assisted on both goals in the 2-0 final win over Mexico in 2023, and he scored and assisted in the 3-2 final win over Mexico in 2021.

But the 22-year-old has seen sparse playing time for Borussia Dortmund, with only five starts in all competitions this season.
