The triumphant return of Bruce Arena
Well, take that Jurgen Klinsmann. Never at any time during his five years in charge of the USA did any of Klinsmann's teams put on a show like the 6-0 destruction of Honduras that marked the return of Bruce Arena.

"From what I remember about Concacaf qualifying, it hasn't changed a whole lot in 12 years. It's just a battle. The referee wasn't going to call too many fouls. It was a slugfest for 90 minutes."

-- Bruce Arena, who in his second stint as U.S. coach returned to Central America for the first time and came away with a 1-1 tie against Panama. (Only 24 fouls -- 14 by Panama, 10 by the USA -- were called.) (Washington Post)
