In his third game as Mexico’s head coach, Rafa Marquez is looking for his first victory after El Tri opened its fall window with 1-1 ties against Colombia and Peru. Marquez’s roster includes 16 members from its 2026 World Cup squad, which exited in the round of 16 with a 3-2 loss to England. One of them, 17-year-old Gilberto Mora, scored against Colombia but is doubtful with an ankle injury.
