Southampton and Liverpool are close to agreeing a $19.62 million (£12.5 million) fee for right-back Nathaniel Clyne. The 24-year-old recently rejected an offer to extend hiscurrent contract, which runs out in 2016, with the Saints, making a transfer away likely. As long as he passes a medical, Clyne will be join the club’s other transfer acquisitions this summer:James Milner, Roberto Firmino, Adam Bogdan, Danny Ings and Joe Gomez.
