For all that Angel City FC has done to prod women’s sport forward, to empower women and girls in all aspects of their lives, to connect with and support diverse communities in meaningful ways, and to establish unprecedented commercial and marketing means in service to all of this, the fourth-year National Women’s Soccer League standard-bearer hasn’t done much of note where it’s supposed to count most.
