[MARYLAND-BOSTON COLLEGE] High-scoring Maryland rolled to its first 5-0-0 start since 2004 with a 4-0 win over No. 14 Boston College in the ACC opener for bothteams before 4,244 fans at Ludwig Field. Sophomore Patrick Mullins scored twice — the first multi-goal game of his career — to lead the No. 6 Terrapins, whooutshot the Eagles, 18-4.

It only took 10 minutes for the Terps to break the ice as Sunny Jane looped a ball to Casey Townsend at the top of the box. The senior settled the pass with his chest and volleyed a low shot past Eagles goalkeeper Justin Luthy toscore his team-high fifth goal of the season.
 
Maryland struck again two minutes into the second stanza as Jane set up Mullins for his first goal.
 
Some nifty workfrom freshman Alex Shinsky was followed by a cross Jordan Cyrus flicked on to Mullins for the tap-in and the 3-0lead.
 
Sophomore Taylor Kemp punctuated a big night for the Terrapins when he sliced through the midfield and scored with a blast from 30yards.

The four goals give Maryland 16 in its five games.
 
“I was delighted with the result tonight. I think that was our best overall performance thus far,”Maryland coach Sasho Cirovski said.  “I do have to give some kudos to our grounds staff.  This field played incredible after all the rain andthey worked all day long to get it prepared so I am very pleased with that.”
