Four of the stadiums in Brazil to be used next year for the Confederations Cup will be visited by a FIFA delegation this month.

“FIFA will carry out technical visits on April 25, 26 and27,” said organizing committee director of operations Ricardo Trade. “They will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Salvador and Recife. A technical analysis will be given so thatthe host cities of the Confederations Cup will be confirmed at the end of June.”

The Confederations Cup, staged as a dress-rehearsal for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, takes place from June15-30 next year. Four cities have so far been confirmed as hosts: Rio, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte and Fortaleza. Recife and Salvador could be added to that list depending on the progress of work onmatch venues.

World Cup champion Spain and host Brazil will be joined by Concacaf champion Mexico, Copa America holder Uruguay, and Asian Cup winner Japan. Three more nations will bedetermined by the European Championship, the African Cup of Nations, and the Oceania championship.
