German first division club St. Pauli is opening a preschool at its stadium that will feature full-day care and a playground overlooking the field.
The Hamburg-based Bundesliga club saidits decision to build the “Pirate’s Nest” nursery was part of plans to renovate its Millerntor stadium, in the heart of one of the city’s most populous neighborhoods. Thepreschool will open this month and provide full-day care for 100 children, from infants to age 6, during the week.
It will also be open on match days for fans to drop off their childrenduring the game.
