  1. 1st Home Opener is Aug,17 … But one Team doesn’t have Home Opener until SEPTEMBER 29.???
Are we Supposed to take this League Seriously.???

    1. Ever been to Tampa in August? I have. The hotel was empty and no one was playing soccer outdoors.

    2. Even training early am and playing later in evening, the Florida humidity will be brutal in August.

      1. Unless you have actually experienced the Florida August humidity, you won’t know how bad it is. It was far worse than DC’s 100% humidity 100 degree heat (I played in those condition many times). It is not climate that you can adjust to by flying in 3 days before the match. Not even 3 weeks.

        1. Been There Done That…. with the National Team.
Many Times… And a Few even Less Desirable Places.
I don’t see anywhere in the Article, that this is the Reason for No Home Games.
And, it would be even MORE Damning to say that WOMEN can’t handle the Temperature.!?!?!?
Everyone gets Treated Equally, for Equal Pay… Right.!?!?!?
And the TAMPA Team is Playing in AUG… Good for them.

          1. Home field advantage for Tampa. It works for Mexico and Colorado too.

What you may not realize is how brutal the heat is on synthetic turf fields. Field temperature is about 20 degrees above ambient air temperature. Watering the field helps a lot, but local governments don’t water them for the masses.
