• Revenge is sweet. Inter Miami gained revenge for its shock elimination by Atlanta United in Round One of the 2024 MLS playoffs with a 2-1 win over the Five Stripes at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Lionel Messi started the comeback with the tying goal scored after Atlanta United turned the ball over and he chipped keeper Brad Guzan. Newcomer Fafa Picault won the game with a goal in the 89th minute.
