Liverpool on Wednesday announced the signing of Brazil forward Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim, subject to the player completing a medical after his involvement with Brazil at theCopa America. According to reports, the fee for the 23-year-old is between 25 and 29 million pounds ($39-$45.5 million), making him Liverpool’s second-most expensive signing after AndyCarroll, who joined the Reds from Newcastle in 2011 for 35 million pounds ($55 million). Firmino made 33 Bundesliga appearances for Hoffenheim last season, scoring seven goals and recording10 assists.
