Chelsea coach Jose Mourinhoinsists there is “no one better” than him to lead the London club out of its worst start to a first division season in 29 years after the Blues fell3-1 to Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.
“The results are the worst in my career,” Mourinho said of the club’s first five games. “They are not adapted to my quality, my status, but I amcoping well with the situation. I am not feeling pressure. I am the man for the job. I don’t think there is better man who could come and do my job.”
The Portuguese coach admitted it would bea struggle to retain the Premier League title after Chelsea’s third loss of the season, which equals its total from last season’s title-winning campaign.
“It is out of our control,” headded. “To win the title, it will depend on us to improve the results but also on other clubs who are above us to lose matches. Even if we win every game between now and the end of season, we stilldepend on other results.”
