Wednesday:
• Nashville SC 5-2 D.C. United: Nashville SC advanced to the Open Cup semifinals for the first time, scoring five unanswered goals to erase a 2-0 deficit. Jonny Pérez opened the scoring for Nashville in the 25th minute, and the other four goals came after withe break: Sam Surridge scored the tying and go-ahead goals and was followed by 2025 MLS all-star Andy Najar and Walker Zimmerman, back after six weeks away with the USMNT, with late insurance goals.

• Postponement: Nashville will learn its semifinal opponent on Aug. 13 when the Philadelphia Union and New York Red Bulls make up their quarterfinal match that was postponed due to inclement weather in Chester, Pennsylvania.

Tuesday:
• San Jose Earthquakes 2-2 (2-4) Austin FC: Austin FC twice came from behind on penalty kicks by Designated Players Brandon Vázquez (his 11th career goal in 11 Open Cup matches) and Myrto Uzuni (in the 115th minute) to send the match to a shootout, which it won when keeper Brad Stuver stopped two penalty kicks. The victory was marred by a non-contact injury to Vázquez, who left the match on a stretcher in tears after suffering a non-contact injury to his right foot.
