Marko Mitrović was appointed as the New England Revolution’s 10th head coach.
Mitrović, 47, most recently led the USA to the 2025 U-20 World Cup quarterfinals after guiding the USA to the same finish at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Sporting Director Curt Onalfo praised Mitrović’s “tactical acumen and modern coaching philosophies” and added that Mitrović’s experience on “some of the world’s biggest stages” made him the ideal choice for this pivotal role.
Mitrović was an assistant coach when his native Serbia won the 2015 Under-20 World Cup and moved to Chicago the next year as an assistant coach when Veljko Paunović, the Serbia U-20 head coach, became the Fire head coach. He joined Paunović as Reading in England in 2020 before taking a position at U.S. Soccer as the U.S. U-19 men’s coach in April 2022.
