The KC Current became the fastest team in NWSL history to reach 50 points – after just 20 matches – but it had to  a scoreless draw with the second-place Washington Spirit at CPKC Stadium. 

The Current, which still leads the Spirit by 14 points with six matches to play, extended league marks for consecutive shutouts (8 games) and consecutive minutes without allowing a goal (722) and equaled the NWSL record for shutouts in a season with 13.

Brazilian goalkeeper Lorena made three saves to earn her 11th shutout.
