Legendary St. Louis soccer coach Pete Sorber died at the age of 95.

In 30 seasons as head coach at Florissant Valley Community College, Sorber’s teams had a 415-85-22 record and won 10 NJCAA championships and finished second two other times. Sorber followed another legendary St. Louis coach, Harry Keough, as coach at Flo Valley in 1967.
In February, Sorber shared captivating stories about his coaching career and St. Louis soccer history on the Soccer Dad-Pod podcast. He was joined on the broadcast by his son, Mike Sorber, who started for the USA at the 1994 World Cup.
