[BOSTON COLLEGE-NORTH CAROLINA] Kealia Ohai scored her sixth goal of the season to lead No. 7 North Carolina past No. 13Boston College, 1-0, Thursday night before a crowd of 2,000 at the Newton Campus Soccer Center. The win extended its unbeaten string to six matches.
Ohai’s goal in the 68thminute came after the BC defense failed to clear a Tar Heel corner kick.
The ball squirted out to freshman defender Caitlin Ball on the left sideof the box and she redirected a high cross to the top of the box, where Rachel Wood nodded it on to Ohai, who buried a shot inside the left side netting from 12yards out.
A week earlier, Ohai also had the game-winner for the Tar Heels in a 1-0 win over Duke. She has now scored in four of the past five games for UNC, all of which haveresulted in victories.
Boston College, which at one time was 9-0-2, fell for the fourth straight game.
