After Jesús Ferreira, the Seattle Sounders acquired another USMNT veteran from FC Dallas, winger Paul Arriola.
Arriola, 29, agreed to a three-year contract with a club option in 2028 in a deal that sends up to $300,000 GAM and Seattle’s first-round pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft to Dallas. He spent three seasons in Frisco, tallying 18 goals and 19 assists in 96 appearances in all competitions, and was a 2022 MLS All-Star selection. The last of his 50 caps for the USA came at the January 2023 camp.

Josef Martínez signs with Quakes
The San Jose Earthquakes signed free agent forward Josef Martínez to a one-year contract through 2025 with a club option for 2026.
Martínez, 31, has scored 116 goals in seven full MLS seasons — he was injured in the opening game of the 2020 season and missed the rest of the season — with Atlanta United, Inter Miami and CF Montréal.
