While more than 2,400 people died in the surprise assault by Japan on the U.S. naval base in Hawaii, the subsequent atomicbombings of the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 killed at least 135,000 people. “Pearl Harbor” mentions on Twitter were 100 times the normal number on Sunday, many from thosecritical of the original Tweets.
