Pele rates Neymar over Messi

Who’s the best player of all time? Pele and Maradona have dominated the debate for years, but some say Lionel Messi should be included in the conversation. But Pele won’t even go as far as to say the Barcelona star is the best player in the world today. The player Pelelikes is fellow Brazilian Neymar of his former club Santos.

Pele said at an event celebrating the Santos centennial that “there’s always this Maradona comparison, sayingthat he’s better than Pele. Now some are saying that Messi is better than Pele. Well, he has to be better than Neymar first, which he isn’t yet. He has more experience.”

Neymar, 20, isconsidered Brazil’s top young player.
