ESPN reports that Real Madrid could be kicked out of the Copa Del Rey after fielding an ineligible player in its 3-1 fourth-round first-leg win at Cadiz. Real named winger DenisCheryshev in its starting eleven against the Segunda B club, but reports in Spain claim he should have been suspended for the game having being booked three times in the competition while on loanat Villarreal last season. The booking that triggered the suspension came in the second leg of Villarreal’s 6-2 defeat to Madrid’s arch-rivals Barcelona in last season’s semifinals. Cadiz hasuntil 2 p.m. local time on Thursday to lodge a claim with the Spanish league.
