Queens Park Rangers coach Harry Redknapp on Thursday admitted that he is keen to sign Toronto FC striker Jermain Defoe during the January transfer window. The 32-year-old, who hasscored 19 goals in 55 appearances for England, came close to joining Redknapp at Loftus Road before deciding instead to switch to MLS. Even so, Redknapp said, “Nothing is anywhere near beingconcluded,” regarding a potential deal.
