The USA beat Brazil 3-1 twice in tune-up games for teams preparing for the 2024 Under-17 Women’s World Cup. The USA got goals from captain Ainsley McCammon, Micayla Johnson and the San Diego Wave’s Mel Barcenas (photo) in the first match played in Kennesaw, Georgia. It came back from 1-0 down to win the second game. Kennedy Fuller (Angel City FC) started the comeback with the tying goal in the 73rd minute and Mary Long won the match with two late goals.
