Robinho celebrated his first game back in Brazil, scoring the winning goal for Santos in its 2-1 win over Sao Pauloin the Sao Paulo state tournament on Sunday.
The striker, on loan from Manchester City, came on in the 57th minute and combined with 18-year-old star Neymar for several chances before scoring on back-heelafter a give-and-go with Wesley in the 85th minute.
“I know many people are talking about the way I kicked the ball, but it was the only way I cou ldhave scored,” Robinho said after the match. “I’m happy with the result, but I still need to play more with these young guys and get in better shape.”
