Soccer America is publishing events of interest in the 11 U.S. World Cup cities. They include soccer award ceremonies and galas, but this new feature will be expanded to include new field and mini-pitch openings and other legacy events, World Cup events, media events, fan fests, book signings and readings and cool soccer activities at pubs and bars.

Absolution Brewing Company in Torrance will be hosting a tap-room takeover with the LA Galaxy for its Concacaf Champions Cup match against Sporting San Miguelito.
Feb. 20 (Atlanta)
The U.S. Soccer Adult Council will recognize the winners of the 2025 National Amateur Awards at its meeting Feb. 20 during the U.S. Soccer AGM in Atlanta. (Information)

As part of its celebration of Black History Month, the Cal Athletics DEIBJ office is hosting a fireside chat/panel discussion with England legend John Barnes on Black soccer leadership, community and the road to World Cup 2026. Also featured on the panel: Cal head coach Leonard Griffin and Cal alumna and Bay FC forward Karlie Lema. The program will take place 5:30-8 p.m. at the University Club and will be free to attend. Feb. 21 (Atlanta)
U.S. Soccer‘s Annual General Meeting at the The Westin Peachtree Plaza will conclude with its Awards Dinner featuring the Kim Crabbe Game Changers Award, Carla Overbeck Leadership Award, Fernando G. Alvarez Referee Champion Award and Werner Fricker Builder Award.
From now through June 8, Soccer America will publish a series of trivia quizzes, with multiple chances to win a free annual subscription.
Feb. 27 (Philadelphia)
The Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Annual Awards Banquet will be held in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting at the Sheraton Valley Forge. (Information)

March 6-8 (Houston)
The Houston host committee is organizing the Road to the Cup Presented by Reliant, a 7v7 youth soccer tournament for boys and girls ages U-11 through U-18/19. The first stage of the competition, including group stage play and knockout rounds, will take place March 6-8. Teams in each age groups will compete to earn a place to play in a championship game at the Houston FIFA Fan Festival during the initial weeks of the World Cup. (Information)

The Connecticut Soccer Hall of Fame will hold its induction dinner at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bristol. Class of 2026: Gary Donaldson, Chris Gbandi, Phil Kydes, Lou Labbadia, Jeff Lea, Erin O’Grady, Manya Makoski Puppione, Bruno Prusaczyk and Beth Regan.
March 7 (Dallas)
The Soccer: More Than a Game exhibit will open at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, exploring the cultural, scientific, and societal aspects of soccer. (Information)

The Women’s Game will hold a special live show from the Citizens House of Blues, hosted by Sam Mewis, who will walk fans through the rich history of women’s soccer in her hometown — four days ahead of Legacy FC’s first-ever NWSL match.
March 25 (Dallas)
The University of North Texas will honor the late Norma Knobel Hunt, a North Texas State University alumna, with the naming of its soccer stadium, the Norma Knobel Hunt Stadium. She was mother of Clark Hunt, Chairman and CEO of the Kansas City Chiefs and FC Dallas, and Dan Hunt, the FC Dallas president, and the wife of the late Lamar Hunt.
March 25-26 (Atlanta)
The Business of Soccer on the future of the sport in North America will be hosted by Sports Business Journal and Leaders in Sport at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in partnership with Concacaf, Major League Soccer and U.S. Soccer. (Information)
April 11 (Philadelphia)
Mercer County Soccer Hall of Fame dinner will be held at the Hibernian Club in Hamilton. Bob Bradley, who coached at Princeton before entering the pro ranks, is among the honorees. Others are Harold Adams, Andy Bing, Jessica Babice, Brian O’Reilly, Jeff Romano, the 1967/1971 Lawrence boys state champs and 2008/2009 Robbinsville girls state champs.
May 1 (Dallas)
Players Heather O’Reilly, Tobin Heath and Chris Wondolowski, veterans Tony Sanneh and Kevin Crow and builder Kari Seitz are the six members of the National Soccer Hall of Fame’s 2026 class. They will be inducted at a ceremony at Toyota Stadium in Frisco.
May 8 (San Francisco Bay Area)
Hosted by America SCORES Bay Area, the Soccer Legacy Gala at Signia Hilton in San Jose will honor the 1994 U.S. World Cup team. Most of its players and staff are expected to be on hand.
