In his first game in four weeks, Tim Weah scored his first Ligue 1 goal for Marseille in its 5-1 derby win at Nice that moved OM back into the French league lead, at least temporarily.

Since his move from Juventus, Weah has kept his place in Coach Roberto De Zerbi‘s lineup even if it has meant he has jumped around, starting at multiple positions in different formations. A thigh injury sidelined Weah for two weeks, De Zerbi then chose not to risk him for OM’s last match before the break, and he was held out of the USMNT’s November camp.
