U.S. Soccer has launched the beta version of its Safe Soccer Clearance program.
The “green-lighting” initiative will create a continuous vetting process for organizations to use a centralized public database to track the status of a participant’s Safe Soccer Clearance.
The program will use various safeguarding elements around abuse prevention training, verification of contact information and a background check.
• Target organization: In the beta version, U.S. Soccer will be working with smaller organizations (smaller in terms of membership, organizational capabilities or staffing).
