UEFA dismissed a doping case against Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho for using a “fat burner” but not before the complaint cost him a berth on France’s Euro 2016 team, for which he would havelikely started.
Sakho served a provisional 30-day suspension after testing positive and admitted taking the substance. The UEFA did not extend that ban as it investigated whether thesubstance was not actually prohibited.
