[FAR WEST REGIONAL LEAGUE] The U.S. Youth Soccer Far West Regional League has redesigned the league structure for the 2013-2014 season to consist of threegeographical divisions for its teams in under-13 through under-18 age groups.
Under the new format, the Far West Regional League will consist of three divisions; California League, FourCorners League and Northern League, to better accommodate the geographical size of the western region. The league provides a platform for advancement to the Soccer Region IV Championships andthe National League.
California League: California North and California South
Four Corners League:Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Southern Nevada and Utah
Northern League: Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Northern Nevada, Oregon, Washington andWyoming
“The new format of the U.S. Youth Soccer Far West Regional League will help provide a more efficient league structure for the top teams in the western United States,” saysU.S. Youth Soccer Region IV Director Ken Edmunds. “Teams are looking for a consistent calendar of meaningful and competitive games in a more practical travelschedule, and the opportunity for advancement to the U.S. Youth Soccer Region IV Championships and the National League brings added incentive to ensure the competitiveness of the Far West RegionalLeague.”
