West Brom on Monday signed Venezuela striker Salomon Rondon from Zenit St Petersburg for a club record fee of 12 million-pounds ($18.7 million). The 25-year-old signed a four-year deal tobecome the Baggies fifth summer signing, although he was not eligible to play in West Brom’s 3-0 loss to Manchester City on Monday night. Coach Tony Pulis’ other signings this summer wereJames McClean, James Chester and Rickie Lambert, as well as Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry, who joined on a season-long loan.
