• New York/New Jersey: Getting fans to MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands is a huge challenge, which NJ Transit plans to solve by constructing a 7-mile bus rapid transit system. NJ.com reported that NJ Transit awarded a contract for the construction of the system planned to take 20,000 fans an hour from the Secaucus Junction to the stadium and back. Funding will be provided by the Federal Transit Administration. Costs should be revealed at next month’s NJ Transit board meeting.
