A Big Ten title extended Indiana’s streak of consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances to 27, but it was not enough to prevent the Hoosiers from having their first losing season (8-12-2). IU, which lostfreshman star Tommy Thompson to the San Jose Earthquakes on a Homegrown contract, is projected to finish no higher than fifth in the Big Ten. But Indiana, whichopens with its annual Adidas/IU Credit Union Classic against No. 6 Georgetown and No. 11 Marquette, remains a target for opponents. Says Coach Todd Yeagley,”Everybody is going to go at it in the same way. They all want to beat Indiana.”
