• Pat Noonan was named Major League Soccer’s 2023 Coach of the Year after guiding FC Cincinnati to its first Supporters’ Shield title. Before he arrived, FC Cincinnati finished last in the overall MLS standings in all three seasons. In 2022, it was 12-9-13 and followed that up with a 20-5-9 record for 69 points. On Saturday, FC Cincinnati hosts the Eastern Conference semifinals against Philadelphia. He was an assistant under the two most recent Coach of the Year winners, Jim Curtin (four years at the Union) and Bruce Arena (five years at the LA Galaxy and one with the U.S. national team).
