Maxi Kissel has a knack for scoring big goals for Vermont teams.
Last December, the 22-year-old forward from Wiesbaden, Germany, scored the winning goal in overtime to give the University of Vermont a 2-1 win over Marshall in the Men’s College Cup final for the Catamounts’ first the NCAA Division I title.
On Saturday, Kissel repeated that feat, scoring the winning goal in stoppage time for a 2-1 win over Ballard FC that delivered Vermont Green FC its first USL League Two championship.
