• Under-20 Women’s World Cup: The USA will face Italy, Japan and New Zealand in Group D at the 2026 U-20 Women’s World Cup to be held Sept. 5-27 in Poland. The USA will play Italy on Sept. 6 and Japan on Sept. 9 in Lodz and New Zealand in its final group game Sept. 12 in Sosnowiec. The tournament was expanded from 16 to 24 teams in 2024 when the USA finished third. It was its best finish since winning the tournament for a third time in 2012.
