Carolina Core FC, the new independent MLS Next Pro team, has begun construction on Go-Forth Elite Performance Center, its training complex scheduled to open in 2025.

Go-Forth Elite Performance Center is privately funded and features an 11,000 square-foot facility anchored by the club’s sporting headquarters adjacent to Field 8 at the upper fields within the Phillips Park Soccer Complex in High Point.

Core FC will play its home games at renovated Truist Point once the city-owned stadium’s renovation project is completed.

• Opening games: Core FC (coached by Roy Lassiter) opens MLS Next Pro play Sunday at Crown Legacy FC, then faces USL League Two’s Nova FC in the first round of the 2024 U.S. Open Cup four days later at UNCG Stadium in Greensboro. The first regular-season home match will take place on June 1.

  1. congrats. simple reminder. coaches and families not facilities make players. I hope the investment in facilities is more than matched by that in coaches. Onward!
